Now it should be built: The new harbour for the wind farming manufacturers, directly in the south of Bremerhaven. A&B Marine + Industrietechnik GmbH takes over for the offshore branch the servicing of the vessels from the wind farm maintenance teams in the North Sea.
Within few years numerous enterprises of the wind energy industry have settled in Bremerhaven. The inquiry for special harbour infrastructure to the preassembly and shipment of offshore wind energy arrangements rises massively. To make Bremerhaven the leading European centre of the production and logistics of wind energy arrangements, the government decided in 2010 to fund an additional offshore harbour.
Until 2018 the offshore terminal Bremerhaven (OTB) at the Weser shore should be realised. By the search for an operator to the technical building design and the planning up to the concept and conversion of environmental compensation Bremenports is integrated responsibly in the project. The expected total expenses for the infrastructure comes with 180 million euros and will carried from the State of Bremen. The accepting process for the operator should be ending in the end of 2015.
